COURSE DESCRIPTION
Taken from lean manufacturing, Value Stream Management will allow you to determine the measurable flow of value, where value delivery is slowed down, and create opportunities for better alignment & collaboration among teams. In this course, you will learn how to analyze the current state, design a future state, and manage the flow of materials and information required to complete tasks to deliver products and services to the hands of the customer.
COURSE CONTENT
Value Stream Management is a critical aspect of lean operations that contributes to the success of agile product development and delivery. In this course, you will learn about Value Stream Mapping, how to collaborate with high-level managers, supervisors, and subject matter experts to map activities within your company, and how it offers value to the processes of product development.
Specifically, you will learn how to:

Generate diagrams of organizational processes by determining the current and future state

Map a process for complex products or product portfolios involving multiple teams

Calculate time-based metrics for the material and information flow for processes

Identify dependencies for processes that involve development efforts from multiple teams

Craft a Value Stream Mapping Plan which includes drafting of Five-Point Goals

Decide which Key Performance Indicators the Product Owner Team will monitor

Detect overproduction and other forms of waste to reduce process cycle times

Assess customer product feedback and adjust the shared backlog accordingly
